POPPY WORKERS Konya Lake Beyşehir

How many poppy heads touched her hands, who knows, how many springs sprinkled seeds into the soil, which hopes she dreamed when spreading the seeds in her palm. She felt the excitement of sprouting plants seeing the sky with the integration of soil, seed and water in her heart. Who knows what she dreamed of when she walks among the poppies taller than her, not at 80 years old, when she was 8.
I came across Lütfiye Ana when she was seedlings her seed hopes for tomorrow. But she said that nowadays it is only a habit, not a hope, and no harvest meets nothing anymore. It would be a misunderstanding if we were unaware her deep gaze to the old days.
Her smiling face, her warm hands grasping the soil and the green grass could not hide the sadness in deep wrinkles of her cheeks. For a moment I wanted to take her cheeks into my palms and wipe her wrinkles with my thumb. But, I could not remove them  whatever I do, because they were her experiences, her fate. She was an Anatolian woman.
